Question for you readers :)

I recently have had a chance to share my faith (more openly) with one of my little guy's GAL's. For those of you who foster and are Christian I am certain you are praying over the children in your care, but what else do you do to share your faith with "the system?" Have any of you ever experienced one of your workers coming to Christ....or a bio-parent?? Share your experiences please :-) Foster care...a multifaceted experience!

I am licensed through a Christian agency that does nothing to hide the fact that they are faith based. So, everyone that comes into contact with me that knows where I am licensed at, already knows that I am a Christian. The topic of faith doesn't come up that often. Unfortunately, I have little contact with lawyers. And the contact I've had with CPS is limited. The person I have the most contact with is our agency social worker. And...I would guess her faith is the same as mine given where she's chosen to work.

We have never hid our faith from our case workers or lawyers but they all seem to have pretty much the same faith. We were very open with bio families about our faith and that we pray with their children and take them to church. After each of our children were adopted they were baptized in our church (at that time they were 6, 10, and 11) and we invited their bio families. Most of them came and one of their grandmas now attends a church similar to ours near her home with her 16 year old boys--she says that the day in our church really changed her. My daughter gave her bio mom a Bible for Christmas and she says she is reading it. YEAH!!

We love to share our faith with anyone who will listen. When our workers, etc. asked us why we treated our foster kids like our other adopted children- simple because they are ALL God's children. Therefore why would one child be different from the other.

What a great way to share is through the system. We were open to bio families, anyone!! We have no idea what our testimonies have done, but we pray that God was able to Glorify himself!

PRAYING for you and for your GAL :) And for Little Grape.

PRAISE THE LORD we found a place :) too.
